Why don’t we pick up right where we left off, amidst a game of timing and comicbook know-how, of skill and strategy, round six of our Super Comic Draft! Catch up on the first five rounds if you need to. Read on to learn which characters your Ink contributors value most, and ultimately, who will have the finer team.
Here we go.
Round 6
Dan:

Picking my cosmic-level guy. And if you don’t know him, you need to look up Rocket, or revisit Young Justice. Ages of experience, and he was even strong enough to hurt Superman.
Steven:
It’s time for my favorite New God, a powerhouse in her own right straight from the mean streets of Apokolips.
Round 7
Dan:

This team of X-Men could in all reality be led by either Magneto, Cyclops, or Wolverine, and is made up of my favorite mutants. Not to mention, some of the most powerful. All five: Magneto, Cyclops, Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Colossus.
Steven:

Because I’d hate to split them up! Also, he can escape any situation, and brings a good ol’ Mother Box to the team.
Round 8
Dan:

Ted Kord is just as smart as Batman, only not quite as cool.
Steven:

When my team gets in a bind, I can count on her to take on the threat all by herself, and win! She may not be my cosmic-level choice, but she is unbeatable.
Round 9
Dan:

Partners with the Beetle, and Rip Hunter’s Father. I love him even if he gets no respect.
Steven:

My cosmic pick is the one-and-only herald of Galactus, wielder of the Power Cosmic, and better of Thor and Hulk (yes, both). He is Norrin Radd, savior of Zenn-La, and Earth more than a few times.
Round 10
Dan:

One of the finest fighters/assassins in all of comics. I can’t believe I didn’t take him sooner!
Steven:

Trained by Batman himself, Dick Grayson may have something to say about who is the finest fighter here!
Round 11
Dan:

I’d say just under cosmic-level, I choose the Professor Hulk, a version of the hero that has incredible smarts and incredible strength.
Steven:

Because I must have my own experienced magician, and one that works well with others.
Round 12
Dan:

My team didn’t have a speedster. Now it boasts Max Mercury!
Steven:

I’m taking another scientist, who has experience working with Xavier. Besides, I can’t imagine my team without Hank McCoy, one of my all-time favorites.
Supporting Cast Round
Dan:

Had his own comic at one time, but I would call him a supporting cast member now. I choose Richard Dragon, the great Kung-Fu master, and sensei to many heroes, including Huntress and the Question.
Steven:

Alfred Pennyworth. Do I need a better reason than ‘He’ll help calm Bruce Wayne down’? I’m rounding out the Batman family with a butler everyone is on a first name basis with.
Bringing the fun to a close, and just so everything is in one place, here is a look at the final rosters for Dan and Myself.
Dan’s Team
Iron-Man, Black Adam, Martian Manhunter, Captain America, Dr. Fate, Icon, The X-Men (Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Colossus), Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Deathstroke, The Hulk, Max Mercury, Richard Dragon

The question is, which team can do it? Which team stands the best chance of defeating an unknown, crossover threat, in order to save the multiverse? That is the question we asked when we started this draft. We obviously have our own thoughts and opinions. But what about you?
Let us know!
See you soon,
Steven
